The Royal has announced the latest in its Caring for Caregivers series of Family Information Sessions to take place on Tuesday, June 18, at 6 pm.  Full details may be found here.  “Join us for this hopeful and always inspirational talk from people who have lived experiences with mental health challenges.  Come and meet modern day warriors.”

The Ottawa Network for Borderline Personality Disorder (ON-BPD) has announced a presentation, entitled “New Vision at The Royal,” by Dr. Joanne Bezzubetz, the new President and CEO of The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, to be held at The Royal, 1145 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, on Tuesday, June 25, at 7 pm.

The Distress Centre of Ottawa and Region will offer training in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) on Wednesday, July 24, and Thursday, July 25, from 9 am to 4:30 pm, at 363 Coventry Road.  The two-day workshop prepares participants to provide Suicide First Aid Intervention.  Cost:  $250/person.  The deadline to register is July 18.  For more information and to register, click here.  For questions, contact Vanessa at vbascelli@dcottawa.on.ca.
